It’s time once again for our semi-regular check in on Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore, which has pushed past the months of June and July with some new updates and progress reports that we think are important to point out, especially as the MMORPG continues its push towards righting the ship.

We’ll begin in chronological order, meaning we look at the patch applied in June: This update introduced a new boss fight in the form of the Mama Manabear, brought more skill NPCs to additional towns, ran over a smattering of bugs, and made a host of changes and additions like a king crab monster, the ability to consume crafting insignias for a buff-giving talent, and some new blueprints, among many other things.

As for the latest update post for the MMORPG, that’s highlighted by the addition of the new Mires of Woe map that can be accessed with astral keys. This new map promises five new monsters to face and an environment that’s overrun with nature, so we expect an excessive amount of carnivorous plants. There are more general updates applied with the patch as well.

As for the rest of the post, that’s giving a sneak peek at some new things on the docket, including work on more legendary weapons that have a demonic theme to them and a new terrain system that will let the devs at Oath Games raise and lower terrain; at last, no more long spans of flat ground everywhere.
