
For the longest time we’ve been forced to sit our our hands, chew our desks, and stare somewhat jealously at A Plus Japan and Bokura’s slow rolling return of Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, particularly as the Chinese version of the anime MMORPG hit its July 17th launch date while fans in the west have had to contend with a projected 2025 release window.
Well, we still don’t have a calendar date for our version’s arrival, but we can get a bit of a sampling sometime soon, as the game has confirmed the start of closed beta recruitment on Thursday, July 24th. The date announcement came at the end of its latest gameplay trailer, which granted examples of various things like social activities including what appears to be capybara racing at one point, player housing, and a bunch of combat previews and story hints.
More information is once again frustratingly held back, but the official Twitter promises information on how signups work soon. If you’ve been waiting for this long, perhaps a little bit longer won’t kill you, and ideally the video footage below will sate you until details of actual substance decide to surface.
