RuneScape has another “game health update” ready to go for next week on July 14th, “aimed at reducing the influx of alchables and reorganizing various skilling supplies to help curb oversupply and allow these items to regain value over time.”
This is a continuation of these sweeping balance changes that Jagex hopes will improve the game overall.
Over in Old School RuneScape, the legacy MMO is beta testing a brand-new renderer that doesn’t rely on the old Java version of the game but a modern setup. “The new renderer is also the foundation for the upcoming HD mode, and once released, you’ll be able to toggle between the OSRS classic graphics (SD) and HD whenever you fancy; all within the new renderer!”
Both versions of RuneScape announced that regional prices of Bonds have been adjusted, with the US and Europe seeing a price drop and other areas seeing a price increase “to ensure relative parity across markets.” Note that this will not change the price of subscriptions, which is a constant concern with RuneScape’s creeping membership inflation over the past several years.
