Back in May, Pax Dei outlined its plans for an optional subscription monetization model, which would provide players the ability to own plots of land as well as some other benefits that weren’t tied down at the time. It would appear that Mainframe Industries has since solidified those plans and has laid them out for followers of the early access MMO.
On top of the number of plot tokens offered based on subscription tiers (either one, two, or four tokens respectively), subscribers will also get additional grace earnings from logging in, 50% more grace when purchased with gold, and 50% more XP from all sources. Subscriptions will be offered at $7, $11, and $19 a month, and subscription benefits may evolve over time. Mainframe is also quick to remind players that the base game will be fully available by simply paying the box price and that subscriptions are optional.
Those who have bought in to early access already will soon be able to test these subscription benefits in an upcoming patch – without having to actually buy any sub time, for the record – and enjoy them for the duration of early access.
Speaking of the duration of testing, Mainframe opened the announcement with plans for the full 1.0 release to land sometime this autumn. Until then, details of this sub bennies early access patch will arrive soon™.
