Apparently there will be some rewards that were originally available in World of Warcraft: Legion that will not be on hand when Legion Remix (aka Lemix, which is a fantastic portmanteau that’s now in our lexicon) goes live – according to a forum thread reply from the devs.

Specifically, Mage Tower artifact appearances, seasonal PvP gear, and artifact weapon appearances from PvP will not be things players can chase in the upcoming server. The rationale Blizzard provides is that these items represent “the most prestigious and historic accomplishments—rewards that we believe should be preserved in a historical context for only those players who earned them at the time.”

The devs also confirmed that there will be more total rewards in Lemix for players to earn than there were in Pandaria Remix, including some things that were previously retired, all-new goodies, and new color variants for existing Legion items. Just don’t expect the things that bear a sort of legacy to be on the list.
